Audition Notice "Sleeping Beauty"
The Young Vic Production by Rufus Norris
Director Rosemary Bianchi, MD Roger Nobes
Audition dates 10th and 11th September
7.30 p.m
Yes, it's about the princess who is cursed to fall asleep for one hundred years, but seen through the eyes of the fairy who casts the spell in the first place, then somehow has to undo the mess that she has created. We see what happens after the princess is woken by her prince.
There is great scope for comedy, imagination and atmosphere in the show. A minimum of 10 people are needed for the ensemble cast, though ideally we need about 15-20 to include the Forest Creatures, Thorns, Courtiers etc. There is music in the play, with everyone required to join in at some stage, but this is NOT a musical.
