Youth wing Appeal Under Way!

The first meetings of the Youth Wing Appeal Committee have taken place under the Chairmanship of Les Edwards, who writes: "Arrangements have got off to an encouraging start. A steering committee of almost 20 volunteers has been established and they are about to start work canvassing for both Corporate and individual supporters. We already have plans for several big fundraising events in which, we very much hope, both Big Spirit and the Junior Bancroft Players will be able play a part."

The official launch of the Appeal will be at the QMT on Thursday 16th October. Full details will appear in the next newsletter, when every member and patron of the society will be receiving a copy of the appeal brochure.

In the meantime, I urge everyone to start thinking how best they can help us reach our £200,000 target - whether by a personal donation, approaching friends or by organising a money-raising event. Both Les and I are aware that, in the current financial climate, the target is a daunting one. However, we firmly believe that, with the aid of enthusiastic fundraisers, we will be able to raise the amount required. So, let's all go for it!
