Congratulations to everyone, particularly the new members.
Unfortunately there was a rather low turnout for the AGM with around 28 members being present. It was not helped as the meeting clashed with a Shrew rehearsal night and several members were on holiday or had other commitments.
The Officers’ Reports reflected that it had been a successful year for the Society. Richard Whitmore outlined the membership of the Appeal Committee and they will soon be holding their first meeting.
As ever a lively discussion ensued under Members’ Comments and Suggestions. Various ideas were put forward and these will be discussed at the first EC meeting in July.
One last thing, may I use this piece to thank the Society for the lovely flower arrangement that Richard presented to me at the end of the AGM. They were gorgeous and I was most flattered to receive them.
