Looking forward to the future

Further to reading the chairman's piece in the previous newsletter regarding the 25th Anniversary of The Queen Mother Theatre and the launch of the Youth Wing appeal, I felt really encouraged and excited about the future of our theatre and society. The extension would be a real blessing to the theatre and open up so many more positive opportunities for us all. It would be great to see the fundraising plans supported by us all to ensure this ambitious project becomes a reality.

It is a very special time to be a member of the BP's. The standard of the productions by all our groups is, I think, at an all time high, and what an amazing array of talented young people we have in Juniors and Big Spirit. In addition we have such a diverse choice of fringe and main theatre productions to watch and become involved with in a modern, impressive and versatile venue. Our members are the most important ingredient though, and without them our theatre just wouldn't function. We have such a talented membership and there are so many people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a smooth operation. I sincerely applaud those people. Here's to a Happy 25th Anniversary. Let's all work together and make 2008 a memorable and successful year for the BP's and the QMT.
