Old Mother Hubbard's Christmas Adventure is a family musical for 16 or so characters. We are again going to use children for a singing/dancing chorus - so Bancroft Juniors please come and audition.
It is Christmas Eve, and a lonely dog arrives at Mother Hubbard's Home for Lost Children; but alas her cupboard is bare. Worse still, she is turned out by the bailiff and the rent collector, together with her brood of nursery-rhyme children. They make their way to a forest, where they encounter a magician and his camel, on their way to a circus. By an unfortunate mistake, the magician casts a spell which enlarges the bailiff's boot to a size which is big enough for Mother Hubbard to take temporary residence in. But her troubles are far from over, and they all undergo many adventures, not least with a sinister cat, before all turns out well and they are able to take part on a Grand Circus.

You will be working with Hannah again, who, as the children in Mother Goose will remember, is great fun and very enthusiastic and supportive of her cast. Phone her on 01462 433184 if you have any questions.
The Grand finale of this show is a circus. The whole cast take part but we are looking for some specialist acts, who have talents like juggling, trick cyclist, tumbling, clowns, and any other skills that would contribute to making a fantastic display. This would be rehearsed as a separate piece so would not require weekly rehearsals. Artists would be integrated a couple of weeks before the performance.
Rehearsal nights – Tuesday and Thursday, with Sundays around 4 weeks before performance.
Scripts available from Box Office
Also looking for backstage – Stage Manager, stage hands, prompt and chaperones children during performances. Lighting and sound expertise required – would like you to attend last 4 weeks of rehearsal. Please contact Annie on 01462 452855
The last time we produced a pantomime "Mother Goose's Golden Christmas", we all had for the tremendous fun both in rehearsals and performances. It's very rewarding to children and a great time of year to have some fun! Please come and support this show!
