A Day in the Life of a BP Director
We all know we have to turn our hands to everything when you are a member of the Bancroft Players but how about this for the director of "Private Lives". On Monday, 12 February - the first night of this play - our illustrious director, Diana Linnett, could be found undertaking the following tasks. In the morning she was giving a final coat of paint to the set's carpet (you have to have seen the play to understand that one!). She then did a stint on the Box Office. We gave her the afternoon off. Prior to the play going up, she helped serve behind the Bar. With just minutes to go, there was a final pep talk to the cast. She then set the video going up in the lighting box and finally appeared as Louise the maid on stage during Act Three.
Try beating that! Well done, Diana and hopefully I haven't missed anything out!

So what do the cast get up to when they have a whole act when the don't appear on stage? Chloe Maddox ("Sybil" in Private Lives) enjoying a curry during Act Two and trying not to spill it down her dress!
