Production: "Mr Puntilla and his Man, Matti"

Okay - admit it, you've never heard of this one have you? Its not one of Brecht's biggies like Mother Courage (which weve done) or The Caucasian Chalk Circle (which was my other possible choice). But I like it because it's funny about serious things like what people do with power. I also love the central idea that capitalistic Puntilla is pig when sober but angel when drunk. His crusade, therefore, to remain as drunk as much as possible takes on a nobility which is hilarious.

At random moments too the characters break into a song and dance routine which is typically Brecht. So there we have it: laughter, song, dance and politics. Ah - its a heady combination!
